Beneath The Willow Tree Update

As you all may know, I’ve been working on ‘Beneath The Willow Tree’ since NaNoWrimo 2022. It’s been a long process, but I’m not giving up on it.

Where I’m at so far

I’m still doing general and chapter outlines. I really need outlines to keep track of where my story is going and to prevent writers block (pun intended).

So far, I have written a little over thirteen-thousand words, which span for the six chapters and a prologue. I’m hoping to finish the outlines this week, so that I can continue writing the story.

Goals for the end of January

I’m hoping to finish the general outline and chapter outlines. I’ve been chipping away at them slowly during breaks at work, and weekends. I’ve done a lot of outlining this past weekend, so I should be able to finish them before February first.

Goals For February

I’m planning to write the rest of the first draft by the end of February. I know, it’s the shortest month of the year, but considering that I have over thirteen-thousand words, I’m sure that I can finish it. While I’m working on the first draft, I will also be looking for editors an cover artists. I have made some mock ups or the cover on Canva, but I would prefer to have it professionally done.

When am I planning on publishing Beneath The Willow Tree?

I would like to publish Beneath The Willow Tree this fall, somewhere between September and November. Considering that Fall 2024 will be here soon, I really need to get to writing and fast.

How will I be publishing Beneath The Willow Trees?

I will be self-publishing. I’ve been doing a lot of research and even talked to a couple of authors and I’ve decided that self-publishing is the way to go. I may use IngramSpark, since they help with printing, distribution and more. I would like to have my book in multiple formats and on multiple platforms, such as amazon, Apple Books, Kobo, etc. I will work my way up to selling in stores as well. But first and foremost, I have to write the damn book already! Wish me luck
