Update: Life, Blog and other Ventures

Hello all! Hope that you have been doing well, or as well as one can during this pandemic. As you all know, I’ve been struggling with juggling a fulltime job, blogging, and doing book reviews. It was especially hard during this past summer when I had to go to a different location for work and my computer glitched like crazy. I have long since gotten a new one, but issues at work persisted, specifically uncertainties about my original site reopening, changes in management, etc. I am happy to announce that my site has reopened, my new boss is lovely, and things have been going smoothly at work. Now that things have settled with my job, I’m hoping to go back to posting three times a week or more. We’ll see.

NaNoWriMo

I’ve decided to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. I will be working on the Dragon Story (working title) since I’ve been outlining it for forever. I’ve got a basic outline done and I’m currently working on chapter outlines as well as finishing up character sheets. I’m cutting it kind of close, but I believe that I’m close to being ready for NaNoWriMo. My Goal is to have the whole story written so that I can decide on where to go from there. It may be more that fifty thousand words, heck it may be more than one book! But I’d rather have all of it done and figure it out from there. Either way, it’ll be a great experience.

Spooky Season Suggestions

I’m sorry to say that there will be no Spooky Season Suggestions this year. I was consumed with my day job and prepping for NaNoWriMo. I will do try to resume that series next year.

Posts to look forward to

• Book Reviews: I will be posting reviews of books that I’ve read for Reedsy and just for fun.
• Only Murders in The Building episode reviews: My mom and I have gotten into this Hulu series when it came out, and we are hooked and anxiously waiting for season two. In the meantime, I’ll rewatch it and write a review on each episode.
• Legacies episode reviews: I’ve been meaning to review this show. I like it better than The Vampire Diaries, but The Originals still has a special place in my heart (let me know if you want me to do reviews on that show as well.) These reviews will start on season one, so anyone who has started watching and would like to have discussions about in the comments are welcome. Also, anyone who just likes to rewatch and discuss (or not, that’s fine) are welcome also. Just please, no spoilers!
• NaNoWriMo Diaries: I will give weekly updates on my progress with Project Dragon Story on this blog. I will try to give daily updates on my Instagram, so please follow me *wink, wink, nudge, nudge.*
